Several trees have been cut down in the city of Decatur in recent years, and the city has taken a new approach in dealing with the remaining stumps. Several new wooden sculptures — created by Scott Lepley of Custom Chainsaw Carvings in Fremont — can now be found throughout the city.
The annual Great Easter Egg Hunt has a new location. The hunt, which has previously been held at the Riverside Center, will be held at noon Saturday at Bellmont High School.
Children in sixth grade and younger are eligible to participate in the egg hunt.
A Decatur man missing for a week has been found "alive and well," according to Decatur Police Lieutenant Chris Brite.
Daniel Crouch, 35, was last seen March 16 near the intersection of Paterson and 13th streets in Decatur.
