21 arrested in joint DETECT Drug Investigations Taskforce investigation

    At approximately 4 a.m. Thursday the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Allen County Police Department, Berne Police Department, Bluffton Police Department, Decatur Police Department, Geneva Police Department, Indiana State Police and Wells County Sheriff’s Office served 21 arrest warrants.  
    Those arrested were as a result of several months of investigation by the joint DETECT Drug Investigations Taskforce, comprising of officers from Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Berne Police Department, Bluffton Police Department, Decatur Police Department and Wells County Sheriff’s Office.
    Those arrested included the following:
    • Misty Myers — One count of dealing in a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance, with the amount greater than five grams, a Level 6 felony;     
    • Ulysses A. Hunter — Two counts of dealing in a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance, both Class A misdemeanors;
    • Rick C.E. Loshe– One count of dealing in a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance, A Level 6 felony; and one count of dealing in a synthetic drug or synthetic drug lookalike substance, a Class A misdemeanor;
    • Derek T. Liebo — One count of dealing in marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor;
    • Drew A. Ripley — One count of dealing in a substance represented to be a controlled substance, a Level 6 felony;
    • Shane A. Barger — Two counts of aiding, inducing or causing dealing in cocaine, a Level 5 felony; one count of dealing in cocaine, a Level 5 felony;     
    • Joey K. Berlanga — Two counts of dealing in a narcotic drug, both Level 5 felonies;
    • Brandy St John-Kingery — One count of dealing in cocaine, a Level 5 felony;    
    • Zachary Gumm — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug in the presence of a child, a Level 4 felony: and two counts of dealing in cocaine, both Level 5 felonies;
    • Jay A. Scheumann — One count of dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, a Level 5 felony; and one count of dealing in cocaine, a Level 5 felony;
    • Joe J. Becerra — Two counts of dealing in cocaine, both Level 5 felonies;
    • Janet K. Berlanga — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony; and one count of dealing in a narcotic drug in the presence of a child, a Level 4 felony;
    • Summer M. Brown — Four counts of dealing in a schedule I controlled substance within 500 feet of school property, all Level 5 felonies;     
    • Martha Eldridge — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony;
    • Andrew Garcia Jr. — Two counts of dealing in a narcotic drug, both Level 5 felonies; and two counts of dealing in cocaine, both Level 5 felonies;    
    • Thera J. Raugh — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug in the presense of a child, a Level 4 felony; and one count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony;
    • Charles J. Eldridge Jr. — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony; and one count of dealing in a narcotic drug in the presence of a child, a Level 3 felony;
    • Angela M. Truex — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug with the amount weighing one to five grams, a Level 4 felony; and one count of dealing in a schedule IV controlled substance in the presence of a child, a Level 6 felony;     
    • Jacob J. Berlanga — One count of aiding, inducing or causing dealing in a narcotic drug with the amount weighing between one to five grams, a Level 4 felony;
    • Adam W. Trembley — One count of dealing in a schedule II controlled substance, a Level 6 felony; and one count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony;
    • Delayne E. Harrell — One count of dealing in a narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony.
