Bellmont won their second race in four days of the 2020 season by finishing with three of the top four two-man teams in the boys Bi-County conditioner race at Southern Wells Tuesday.
The top pair of Isaac Fuelling and Jordan Garlinger won the event with a combined time of 31:54, 69 seconds ahead of teammates Brett Johnson and Deion Guise. Another minute behind that team was the leading group from South Adams of Clancy McIntire and Race Anderson at 34:06.
Finishing in fourth place in the boys race were Dobie Litchfield and Henry Kukelhan with a time of 34:55.
"This is always a fun meet to run,” said senior Isaac Fuelling afterwards of the oddly-formatted Tuesday night race.“ Jordan and I always look forward to running together and not against and that is the cool thing about it."
Norwell finished second in the team race with sixth and seventh-place finishes, while South Adams was third. Adams Central finished in fifth in the six-team event.
The top team for Adams Central was Arnold/Connelley at 36:34.
Adams Central and Bellmont will both compete at the Marion Invite at Indiana Wesleyan University Saturday, while South Adams will race in Greenville, Ohio.
