Staff Writer

On Monday, the Decatur Police Department welcomed their newest Reserve Officer, Andrew Wolfe. He was sworn in by City Clerk-Treasurer Phyllis Whitright and Mayor Dan Rickord at City Hall. Many officers were also in attendance during Wolfe's ceremony. Officer Wolfe is only 23 years old and currently works at the Adams County Sheriff's Department as an Adams County Circuit Court Security Officer. Previously, Officer Wolfe was employed as a Confinement Officer at the Wells County Sheriff's Department. The DPD is excited about the skill sets that Officer Wolfe offers and announced they may be hiring more reserve officers soon.
