Food vendors will swarm downtown tonight for DST

    The Decatur Sculpture Tour unveiling will take place at 6 p.m. tonight in downtown Decatur. Several events will be held in conjunction with the unveiling, including a Plein Air Paint Out and food vendors, which will be located along the north side of the courthouse square on Madison Street, as well as downtown restaurants that will feature their traditional fare and Sculpture Tour specials.
    The Decatur Sculpture Tour is expected to bring visitors from around the region as 26 new sculptures will be displayed both outdoors and in business storefront windows along 2nd, 3rd and Monroe streets.
    Food will be provided by the following on Madison Street:
    • Angel's Bakery — Sandwiches, salads, sweets;
    • Bellmont Boys Basketball — lemon shake ups;
    • CG Sports/Women’s Life Chapter — root beer floats;
    • Corner Cafe — assorted pies and cakes;
    • Ryan Noblitt — pulled pork sandwiches, tacos, sides;
    • North Adams Summer Food Program — hotdog, juice, fruit, vegetable — children eat free;
    • Old World Fudge;
    • Optimist Club — grilled tenderloin;
    • Rotary Club — snow cones;
    • Triple B's BBQ — ribs, tips, pulled pork, brisket, polish sausage, wings;
    • Wounded Warrior Sub Shop — chili dogs, sausage, brats, fries.
    Downtown restaurants and vendors will be providing the following:
    • Andy and Friends Coney Bar — coney dogs, sandwiches, nachos, root beer floats;
    • The Java Bean Cafe — iced coffee, iced tea, smoothies, desserts;
    • The Old 27 Ice Cream Shop — 27 flavors of ice cream, chili dogs, sandwiches, nachos and walking tacos;
    • Two Brothers will be open Friday night for the first time under new ownership, and will have a “soft opening with a limited menu;” and
    • West End Restaurant — fish (cod), chicken, shrimp, onion rings, tenderloin, livers and gizzards, all dipped in Signature batter.
