Lady Jets advance to Sectional semis

A late arriving Adams Central shooting touch was too much for Churubusco to match Tuesday in the opening round of the Class 2A girls basketball sectional at Bluffton.
The Jets (17-7) cast off early woes rolling to a 56-24 win over the Eagles (6-16) to advance to Friday's semi-final with Canterbury. They'll face the 2-16 Cavaliers in the 6 pm game at Bluffton High School.

Despite a 20 point night from Alivia Dalrymple and an overwhelming fourth quarter assault, Adams Central coach Doug Curtis wasn't the least bit pleased with his squads early performance in Tuesday's win.

“We normally are a great team about throwing it in the high post. Churubusco did their homework and scouted us well. They were trying to limit our threes and high-posting.”

That set up a challenge outside, one the Flying Jets answered later.
