    Due to the recent demand for COVID-19 testing, the local testing clinic will remain open Wednesday. Officials had earlier announced the clinic would be closed in honor of Veterans Day.

    The free community testing clinic, located at the Hospital Physician’s Office Building at 815 High Street in Suite D, will be closed for the following holidays:
    • Thanksgiving Day — Nov. 26;
    • Black Friday — Nov. 27;
    • Christmas Eve —  Dec. 24;
    • Christmas Day — Dec. 25;
    • New Year's Day — Jan. 1, 2021; and
    • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day — Jan. 18, 2021

    Clinic hours are from 5-8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Results are expected within 2-3 days after testing, and can be obtained from the health department.
    All testing supplies and electronic documentation software are provided by the state, while Adams Health Network handles the space, coordination and personnel used to staff the clinic. Curbside greeting will be offered to control social distancing, with “inside” swab testing in Suite D. After testing, patients will exit on the south side of the building.
    The clinic is free to the public, and children as young as 2 years old may be tested. There are no symptom-related restrictions; individuals are not required to be symptomatic before testing.
    Those wishing to be tested may register from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.  by calling 1-833-724-3627 or online at https://www.coronavirus.in.gov/2524.htm
    Antibody testing will not be provided to check for previous infection.
