Man killed in single vehicle crash in Geneva


    The Adams County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a single vehicle crash that claimed a  man’s life in Geneva Friday afternoon.
    According to a news release by Sheriff Dan Mawhorr, at 1:38 p.m. a vehicle was traveling west on C.R. 1100S, approximately half a mile west of C.R. 400E, when the vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons, striking a utility pole at the driver’s door. The driver of the vehicle was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
    The name of the driver has not been released pending notification of the family.
    Responding to the crash were the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Geneva Police and Fire departments and the Adams County Emergency Medical Services.
