Employees and family members of REV Group/Fleetwood RV will hold a clean-up day beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday on the River Greenway Trail.
Sporting green safety shirts, REV representatives will begin clean-up at each entrance of the trail. Team members will meet at the Gerber Shopping Plaza (north end of the trail) and at Evergreen Assisted Living to the south. They will work in opposite directions in an effort to beautify and clear debris and trash along the trail.
Pat Terveer, vice president and general manager of Class A Products at REV, presented the idea to the Decatur plant employees at a recent staff meeting. To date, more than 110 employees and family members have registered to participate in the event.
When Terveer brought the idea to Mayor Ken Meyer, the mayor immediately took him up on the offer to make a greater Decatur.
If you see REV representatives on the trail Saturday, be sure to thank them.
