Revised forecast says snow coming Saturday

Staff Writer

Adams County will see the first measurable snowfall of the season Saturday, however the area may see one more day of reprieve as the National Weather Service has revised the weekend forecast
Earlier this week forecaster called for snow to move into the area Friday evening, alternating between rain, rain / snow mixture and snow as temperatures fluctuate.
The latest forecast now calls for a rain / snow mixture to move into the area early Saturday, changing to rain only around 1 p.m., before making the transition to snow around 4 p.m. and continuing through the evening, with a possible accumulation of 2- to 4-inches possible.
Sunday will still hold the spot for the coldest day of the weekend, with a high around 30 degrees and a low of 18 degrees. Snow showers are possible in the early hours of Sunday morning, before tapering off.
Temperatures next week will feel more like November in Indiana, with the mercury holding steady in the upper-30s to mid-40s before jumping to 52 degrees Thanksgiving Day.
